Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Weltik may process when you use the site, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
TikTok® is a trademark of ByteDance Ltd. Weltik is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.
Summary
The short version.
- We don’t ask for accounts and we don’t require TikTok credentials.
- History (if enabled) is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and can be cleared anytime.
- Downloads are saved to your device using your browser’s standard download behavior.
Information we may collect
What data exists and where.
Local browser storage (on your device)
If you use the History feature, Weltik stores the last few analyzed links/results in your browser’s localStorage. This data stays on your device unless you delete it (via “Clear History”) or clear your browser storage.
Server requests needed to function
To analyze a TikTok link and prepare a download, your browser makes requests to Weltik endpoints (for example, to convert or proxy a download). Those requests may be logged by standard web server logs (e.g., IP address, user-agent, timestamp, requested URL) for security and reliability.
Cookies
Weltik does not require cookies for core functionality. Some third-party services (such as ads/analytics, if enabled) may use cookies or similar technologies.
How we use information
Purposes only.
- Security: protect the service from abuse, spam, and attacks.
- Reliability: diagnose errors and improve performance.
- User experience: local History is for your convenience and stays on your device.
Third-party services
When they apply.
Weltik may include third-party services (for example, advertising scripts) that can collect information independently under their own policies. If you use those features, their terms and privacy policies apply.
Note
If you enable ads or analytics, you should disclose the providers used and link to their policies. (You can update this section anytime with the exact providers you use.)
Your choices
Control what’s stored.
- Clear History: use the “Clear History” button on the site to delete locally stored items.
- Clear site data: you can remove localStorage/cookies from your browser settings.
- Browser controls: you can block third-party cookies or scripts in your browser.
